Preschool Program ...

The King's early learning centre is a place where young children learn through play and shared experiences in company with other children. The Preschool aims for an environment of unconditional love, to create an atmosphere where children feel safe to learn, explore, make mistakes, and grow.

Preschool staff are dedicated to Christian education, and to encouraging a Christian outlook in all the learning and play in the centre. Relationships between children and adults, and between child and child are vital to successful education, and we seek to develop these in Christian ways.

Children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of experiences and activities to help develop each child's skills and self-confidence in a supportive and positive atmosphere.

Some structured learning takes place as children are introduced in a child friendly way to the early pre-reading and pre-numeracy concepts that are so important to a good start in primary education. Children are encouraged in good habits of finishing tasks, and of focusing their attention. Small responsibilities are given, and children flourish in a shared environment of challenge through happy activity.
